Trump Announces Breakthrough Deal on Gaza: Hostages Release and War End Imminent

President Donald Trump announced on Friday that he is nearing a breakthrough agreement to conclude the conflict in Gaza and secure the return of hostages.

"It's looking like we have a deal on Gaza. I think it's a deal that gets the hostages back, it's going to be a deal that ends the war," Trump informed reporters as he was leaving the White House to attend the Ryder Cup golf tournament in New York.

He did not provide additional specifics regarding the agreement.

During the gathering of international leaders at the United Nations in New York this week, the United States introduced a comprehensive 21-point Middle East peace plan designed to resolve the nearly two-year conflict between Israel and Hamas in Gaza.

According to US special envoy Steve Witkoff, the proposal was distributed on Tuesday to officials representing Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Qatar, Egypt, Jordan, Turkey, Indonesia, and Pakistan.

Trump, who continues to be Israel's most steadfast supporter on the international stage, mentioned that he held discussions on Thursday with representatives from several Middle Eastern nations as well as Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
