Netanyahu's Defiant UN Speech Broadcast to Gaza as Israeli Army Takes Control of Phones

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu declared during his United Nations General Assembly address that Israel "must finish the job" against Hamas in Gaza, firmly refusing to end the ongoing conflict.

In an extraordinary move to amplify his message, Israeli authorities implemented unprecedented measures to ensure his speech reached audiences in Gaza. The military installed loudspeakers along the Israel-Gaza border to broadcast his address.

According to Associated Press reporting, the Prime Minister's Office announced an "unprecedented operation" where the army would commandeer Gaza residents' and Hamas operatives' phones to stream Netanyahu's speech directly through their devices.

"The Prime Minister's Office instructed civilian entities, in cooperation with the IDF, to place loudspeakers on trucks on the Israeli side of the Gaza border only," the PMO statement elaborated, "with the aim of broadcasting Prime Minister Netanyahu's historic speech today at the UN General Assembly into the Gaza Strip."

As Netanyahu began speaking, numerous delegates staged a walkout from the Assembly hall. Throughout his address, indistinct protests could be heard echoing across the chamber.

"Western leaders may have buckled under the pressure," Netanyahu stated defiantly. "And I guarantee you one thing: Israel won't."

Facing accusations of war crimes and mounting international pressure to resolve the Gaza conflict, Netanyahu utilized this platform to challenge the global community's stance.

He wore a special hostage awareness pin featuring a QR code linking to information about the October 7 attacks, and displayed a regional map labeled "THE CURSE" as a visual aid.

"Anti-semitism dies hard. In fact, it doesn't die at all," Netanyahu remarked.

Currently, 150 countries recognize Palestinian statehood, though the United States does not. Nevertheless, US President Trump stated the previous day that he would prevent Israel from annexing the occupied West Bank.

"I will tell our truth," Netanyahu declared. "I will condemn those leaders who, instead of condemning the murderers, rapists and burners of children, want to give them a state in the heart of Israel."

While Israel has not formally announced annexation plans, several prominent members of Netanyahu's government have advocated for such action. Officials recently approved a controversial settlement development that would effectively bisect the West Bank, a move critics argue could eliminate prospects for a viable Palestinian state. Trump and Netanyahu were scheduled to meet during his visit.
