Boyfriend Of Charlie Kirk Killing Suspect Was Kicked Out Of His House: Report

The transgender partner of Tyler Robinson, the primary suspect in Charlie Kirk's assassination, reportedly experienced significant family turmoil during his late high school years.
New Delhi:
Lance Twiggs, 22, the transgender live-in partner of Tyler Robinson who stands accused in the Charlie Kirk murder case, was reportedly compelled to leave his family residence following recurring conflicts over Mormon religious practices, according to The New York Post. While underage, he allegedly engaged in experimentation with alcohol and various substances.
After his departure from home, Twiggs found accommodation with two friends who were siblings. These brothers belonged to a large combined family comprising six biological children and three adopted ones. Their sister, Braylon Nielsen, revealed to The Post that Twiggs began residing with them during his junior year in high school in 2021.
Although the brothers later became disconnected from their family, Braylon maintains positive recollections of Twiggs. "I loved Lance. His parents kicked him out of his house, and he lived with us. His parents never sat right with my family," she stated to the publication.
"It was on and off. He was bouncing couches. He would live with us for a few months, but didn't like taking up our couch. He would crash with friends," she further explained.
Nielsen mentioned that Twiggs' parents exhibited strict and controlling behavior due to their devout religious convictions.
Nevertheless, she commended Twiggs as a diligent student who consistently achieved straight A grades. Nielsen added that he steered clear of parties and substances, attending UT Success Academy, a program designed for gifted individuals pursuing college-level education. "Lance, that I know of, has never done drugs. He was always like, 'I don't want to go out and party.' He just wasn't a big partier," she remarked.
She recounted that Twiggs attended a high school dance and demonstrated significant involvement in assisting others. "He made sure everyone had rides. Made sure everyone had clothes. He just took care of people. My sister's car broke down once, and he came out to help her," she noted.
Nielson acknowledged that she was unaware of Twiggs' transgender identity during that period.
Jackie Nielsen, Neilson's mother, expressed complete confidence in Twiggs' innocence regarding the alleged assassination plot targeting Charlie Kirk, believing he had no involvement in any criminal activities. She characterized him as a "good kid" and "compassionate" individual who would "mind his own business."
"I hope the world lightens up on him and stops being so hateful until they have all the facts. He doesn't deserve this," she stated.
Reports indicate that Twiggs was undergoing a male-to-female transition and is currently providing full cooperation with the FBI's investigation into the killing.
According to PBS, "This partner has been very cooperative, had no idea that this was happening," stated Utah Governor Spencer Cox.
Twiggs and Robinson shared a residence in St. George. One neighbor reported observing them holding hands and exchanging affection shortly before the attack occurred, according to NewsWeek.
Kirk, aged 31, sustained a gunshot wound shortly after an attendee inquired about transgender mass shooters during his "American Comeback" university speaking tour at Utah Valley University. He suffered a single rifle shot to the neck, resulting in immediate fatality.
Court documents reveal that Robinson confessed to planning the assassination for a week and left behind a handwritten note detailing his intentions. He reportedly also concealed a note for Twiggs beneath a keyboard stating, "I had the opportunity to take out Charlie Kirk and I'm going to take it."
