A Thai beauty pageant contestant, Suphannee Noinonthong, nicknamed "Baby," had her Miss Grand Prachuap Khiri Khan 2026 title revoked merely 24 hours after winning her crown on September 20. The decision came after explicit videos of her appeared online. Following her coronation, social media was flooded with videos showing Ms. Noinonthong using a sex toy, vaping an e-cigarette, and performing dances while wearing transparent pink lingerie.
As reported by New Straits Times, she was originally selected to represent her province in the upcoming Miss Grand Thailand 2026 competition, competing alongside participants from Thailand's other 76 provinces. However, on September 21, the Miss Grand Thailand pageant committee officially withdrew her title, explaining that her behavior contradicted the competition's core values.
"The current Miss Grand Prachuap Khiri Khan 2026 was discovered to have participated in certain activities that contradict the spirit and principles contestants must maintain. Therefore, we must terminate her position," the pageant committee announced in their official statement.
The 27-year-old responded with a Facebook apology to the pageant organizers and her supporters, acknowledging her previous nude photoshoots and videos. She revealed that financial hardship during the COVID-19 pandemic led her to create an OnlyFans account to support her bedridden mother, who has since passed away.
"This incident has provided me with a valuable lesson, making me fully understand the responsibility that accompanies every action. I am dedicated to improving myself and ensuring such incidents never recur," she wrote.
She also claimed that illegal gambling websites used her explicit content without permission, and she intends to file a police report regarding this unauthorized use.
On September 23, she appeared on a Thai television show alongside Kanchi, the provincial director of Miss Grand Thailand in Prachuap Khiri Khan, pleading for another opportunity to retain her crown. A lawyer joined the live broadcast to address the legal implications, questioning Ms. Noinonthong about her knowledge of a contract clause prohibiting explicit photos or videos. She confessed she hadn't read the contract and was unaware of this stipulation. The lawyer further warned she could face up to three years' imprisonment, which visibly shocked her.
The controversy has created a division in public opinion, with some advocating for compassion while others demand accountability. Meanwhile, pageant organizers have hinted at a possible reinstatement. The Miss Grand Thailand 2026 pageant is scheduled for March 2026 in Bangkok, with the winner advancing to represent Thailand at the Miss Grand International 2026 competition.
