Husband Of HR Exec In Viral Coldplay Scandal Had His Own Date At Concert

The infamous Coldplay jumbotron incident continues to unfold with surprising revelations. Fresh information has emerged regarding the night when former Astronomer CEO Andy Byron and HR executive Kristin Cabot were captured on camera in an intimate moment.
According to a new report, Kristin's husband Andrew Cabot was not in Japan as previously reported, but actually attending the same Coldplay concert in Seattle with a date of his own. "He was in fact at the same Coldplay concert as Kristin," a source confirmed to PEOPLE magazine.
The Independent has revealed that Kristin and Andrew had already been separated and residing apart for several weeks before the incident. The source elaborated: "They had been separated and living apart for several weeks. It was amicable. Kristin was in the box with people from work, though it wasn't a company box, and Andrew was actually there too with a date, with a woman who is now his girlfriend."
The viral moment occurred when Kristin was seen in Andy Byron's arms during the concert, and when the camera focused on them, she quickly ducked out of sight. As they realized they were being displayed on screen, Kristin covered her face while Andy attempted to hide from view.
Coldplay's frontman Chris Martin remarked during the show, "Either they're having an affair or they're just very shy," a comment that helped propel the footage to viral status online.
A source told PEOPLE, "She knew it was inappropriate to behave that way with her boss as the head of HR. Kristin and Andy had an excellent working relationship and a great friendship. There was no affair."
"It was inappropriate to be hugging your boss at a concert, and she accepts full responsibility for it. But the scandal, the downfall, the loss of the job - all of that is unfair," the source added. The NY Post reported that the viral video ultimately led to both executives resigning from their positions.
Court records show Andrew had filed for divorce on August 13. A spokesperson confirmed to PEOPLE that Andrew and his wife "were privately and amicably separated several weeks before the Coldplay concert."
In the aftermath of the viral video, Byron's wife Megan Kerrigan, who works as the Associate Director of Lower School and Hope Graham Program Admissions at the Bancroft School, first removed her last name from her Facebook profile before eventually deactivating it completely.
During subsequent performances in various cities, Coldplay's Chris Martin has frequently referenced the viral incident, playfully "warning" audience members before cameras scan the crowd. His light-hearted approach to the international scandal has consistently generated applause, cheers, and laughter from audiences.
