French President Emmanuel Macron stated that if U.S. President Donald Trump genuinely aspires to receive the Nobel Peace Prize, he must take action to end the war in Gaza.

Macron emphasized that Trump uniquely possesses the leverage needed to pressure Israel toward ending the conflict.
New York:
Speaking to France's BFM TV from New York on Tuesday, President Macron asserted that President Trump holds a singular position of influence regarding the Gaza conflict.
Macron elaborated on this point, saying: "There is one individual who can truly effect change, and that's the American president. The reason he has greater influence than we do is straightforward—we don't provide the weaponry sustaining the Gaza war. We don't supply the equipment enabling military operations in Gaza. The United States of America does."
During his appearance at the United Nations General Assembly on Tuesday, Trump delivered a forceful, comprehensive address in which he opposed Western allies' initiatives to recognize a Palestinian state, characterizing such moves as rewarding Hamas militants.
"We need to halt the war in Gaza without delay. We must immediately begin peace negotiations," Trump declared.
Reflecting on Trump's remarks, Macron observed: "I see an American president who is engaged, who reiterated this morning from the podium: 'I want peace. I have resolved seven conflicts,' who desires the Nobel Peace Prize. Obtaining the Nobel Peace Prize is only possible if you bring this conflict to an end."
Multiple nations, including Israel, Pakistan, and Cambodia, have put Trump's name forward for the prestigious annual award, citing his role in facilitating peace agreements and ceasefires. Trump himself has expressed his belief that he deserves this Norwegian-bestowed honor, which has previously been awarded to four of his White House predecessors.
