During his address at the United Nations General Assembly on Tuesday, US President Donald Trump encountered technical difficulties with his teleprompter, which he promptly acknowledged at the beginning of his speech.

"I don't mind making this speech without a teleprompter, because the teleprompter is not working," Trump stated, adding that whoever was operating the device would face consequences.

Despite the technical issue, Trump continued his address, eventually appearing to reference a printed copy of his remarks.

Vice President JD Vance later commented on the incident on social media platform X, saying, "It's nice to have a president with a brain!" He further praised Trump's ability to deliver "a clear, reasonable address on US foreign policy" despite lacking teleprompter support.

In his speech, Trump criticized the United Nations, claiming the organization fails to fulfill its potential in peace efforts. He also expressed dissatisfaction with the facilities at the UN headquarters in New York.

"The UN has such tremendous potential. I've always said it -- it has such tremendous, tremendous potential. But it's not even coming close to living up to it," Trump remarked, specifically mentioning a malfunctioning escalator.

As he concluded his address, Trump quipped, "A bad escalator and a bad teleprompter are all I got from the UN."

During his speech to world leaders at the 80th session of the General Assembly, Trump reiterated his claim of resolving conflict between India and Pakistan, stating he had "ended seven unendable wars" during his presidency.

"Likewise, in a period of just seven months, I have ended seven unendable wars. They said they were unendable...Some were going for 31 years. Two of them, 31 think of it, 31 years. One was 36 years, one was 28 years," he was quoted as saying by PTI.

Trump has repeatedly referenced his claim about mediating a ceasefire between India and Pakistan since his May 10 social media announcement on the matter.
