Elon Musk Blocks Ex-Partner Grimes on X Platform Amid Co-Parenting Disputes

Grimes has revealed that Elon Musk has blocked her on the social media platform X.

Canadian musician Grimes, whose real name is Claire Boucher, disclosed that her former partner and billionaire entrepreneur Elon Musk has blocked her on X (formerly Twitter). This revelation came after an X user pointed out that Grimes was no longer following the Tesla and SpaceX CEO.

In her response, Grimes clarified that it was Musk who had cut digital ties with her, emphasizing that she's focused on her life and not interested in creating public drama.

"For context I'm just living my life. He followed me then blocked me. I'm not gna be following and unfollowing. My only priority is co parenting, I am not interested in public dramatics. This is so silly lol," Grimes explained on X.

Musk and Grimes began their relationship in 2018, making their first public appearance together at the Met Gala. Throughout their on-and-off relationship, the couple welcomed three children: son X Æ A-Xii (nicknamed Lil X), daughter Exa Dark Sideræl, and son Techno Mechanicus. Their relationship ultimately ended in 2022.

In October 2023, Grimes filed a petition to establish parental rights for all three children. More recently, she publicly criticized Musk for bringing their son Lil X to public events, including a gathering at former US President Donald Trump's Mar-a-Lago residence.

"I have tried begging the public and my kids' dad to keep them offline, and I've tried legal recourse," Grimes stated, expressing frustration at the situation. She described it as "insane" that she had to resort to social media to plead her case about her children's privacy.

"I would hope there was some law that would allow a parent to veto small children from living public lives but I don't even trust the law to help me now if I tried to invoke it tbh."
