President Trump Claims Perfect Score on Third Cognitive Assessment Amid Health Scrutiny

President Donald Trump has announced that he recently "aced" a third cognitive examination amid growing questions about his age and mental acuity. This declaration came via a social media statement on Tuesday night.

In his post, Trump revealed that alongside comprehensive medical evaluations described as "long, thorough, and very boring," he had completed cognitive tests "on three separate occasions, the last one being recently."

Trump emphasized his performance, stating, "I ACED all three of them in front of large numbers of doctors and experts, most of whom I do not know." He further claimed that he had been informed that "few people have been able to 'ace' this Examination and, in fact, most do very poorly, which is why many other Presidents have decided not to take it at all."

The 79-year-old president's statement appears to be a direct response to what he characterized as inaccurate reporting by the New York Times. The publication had highlighted Trump's increasingly limited public schedule compared to his first term and noted instances where he appeared to close his eyes for extended periods during meetings.

Trump strongly criticized these reports, asserting, "I actually believe it's seditious, perhaps even treasonous, for The New York Times, and others, to consistently do FAKE reports in order to libel and demean." This statement was posted shortly after his appearance at a rally in Pennsylvania.

During his first presidential term, Trump took the Montreal Cognitive Assessment, reporting to the media that he had achieved a perfect score. This assessment, designed to screen for cognitive impairment, includes tasks such as drawing a clock, copying a cube image, and repeating sequences of words.

In a previous Fox News interview, Trump described the memory portion of the test: "It's like you'll go: Person, woman, man, camera, TV. So they say, 'Could you repeat that?' So I said, 'Yeah. So it's person, woman, man, camera, TV.' 'Okay, that's very good. If you get it in order, you get extra points.'"

This focus on cognitive health comes after Trump's predecessor, President Joe Biden, faced persistent questions about his own health throughout his presidency. Biden ultimately withdrew from his reelection campaign following a widely criticized debate performance against Trump.
