Bryan Johnson recently shared photographs with Kate Tolo on his X account, publicly revealing their relationship.
The American anti-ageing influencer Bryan Johnson has announced that he is in a committed relationship with Kate Tolo, who co-founded his Blueprint startup. In a touching post shared on X this Tuesday, Johnson revealed that their initial meeting took place at Kernel, his brain interface company.
According to the entrepreneur, they connected through their mutual interest in neurotechnology. Johnson described their connection as immediate, though they maintained professional boundaries while collaborating closely on his anti-ageing initiative, Project Blueprint.
Speaking about Tolo, Johnson expressed admiration for her foresight and thoughtfulness: "She sees forward, backwards, and side to side. Relative to her, I feel myopic in my awareness of the world. She can see through others, as an X-ray would. She then structures all that information and can package it in simple, understandable terms. In ways that allow for everyone to win."
He further described her distinctive personality: "She didn't chase fancy brands. Most of her clothing was from the thrift store. It wasn't how she looked but how her mind worked: original, eccentric, entirely her own. She was art."
Johnson acknowledged in his post that some might wonder why someone would choose to be with him, particularly given his intense anti-ageing regimen that costs him $2 million. He explained that their relationship works because their personalities and lives complement each other perfectly, "like puzzle pieces fitting together."
He reflected on his twenties, when reading about John and Abigail Adams inspired his view of partnership: "They were intellectually matched, emotionally intertwined, and co-architects of something bigger than themselves. I wanted what they had."
Johnson also shared that he had previously been in an arranged marriage through his Mormon faith. While functional, that relationship didn't achieve the partnership level he admired in the Adams couple, and ended after 13 years.
"By the time I was 44, I started reconciling with the possibility of a life without partnership," Johnson admitted.
After approximately eighteen months of unacknowledged affection, Johnson and Tolo finally expressed their feelings for each other. Now, Johnson refers to Kate as "his Abigail Adams."
"At this point, Kate and I have nearly become one person. We have entire conversations with a single look, sound, gesture or image," he wrote.
He concluded his heartfelt post with: "I've wanted this my entire life and impatiently waited 25 years for it to arrive. It's better than anything I imagined. Lucky me, I found my Abigail Adams."
Previously in 2023, during an appearance on the "Diary of a CEO" podcast with Steven Bartlett, Johnson had confirmed his single status and discussed how finding a partner who accepted his eccentricities had been challenging. He specifically mentioned that his extreme health regimen made dating difficult for potential partners.
