A 79-year-old British aristocrat, Sir Benjamin Slade, has renewed his search for a younger wife capable of bearing a male heir. The seventh Baronet of Maunsel House has advertised the position with an annual salary and specific requirements for what he terms a "good breeder."

Despite decades of unsuccessful attempts through newspaper advertisements, online dating profiles, and television appearances, Sir Benjamin continues his public quest for a suitable partner. His primary motivation is securing his lineage and preserving ownership of his substantial 1,300-acre estate.

The baronet has established unusual criteria for potential applicants. Women who are Scorpios, read The Guardian newspaper, or come from countries beginning with "I" or featuring green in their national flags need not apply. Conversely, possessing a helicopter license or legal background would be considered advantageous qualifications.

Sir Benjamin's ideal candidate would be three to four decades his junior, aligning with his main objective of securing an heir. He has indicated that a prospective bride with an existing daughter would also be acceptable.

The position offers £50,000 annually (approximately Rs 59.37 lakh), alongside accommodation and meals. However, Sir Benjamin expressed preference for candidates with their own financial resources, noting in his requirements that "A little private capital and income would be helpful. A large fortune would be more helpful!"

Despite his extensive landholdings, the baronet reportedly faces liquidity challenges and is considering selling his ancestral property, which has been in his family since 1772, to a luxury hotel chain. Maunsel House has traditionally operated as a wedding venue, though business significantly declined during the pandemic.

Sir Benjamin has revealed that he maintains a nine-month supply of frozen sperm in anticipation of eventually finding a suitable partner.

His quest for an heir first gained international attention in 2008, as reported by The Independent. When discussing his preference for a younger bride at that time, he remarked, "You want a new car, you get a new car."

In 2021, Sir Benjamin fathered a daughter through IVF with American poet Sahara Sunday Spain but subsequently cancelled two planned weddings. His previous marriage to Pauline Myburgh ended in divorce in 1991, with Sir Benjamin citing her 17 cats as an insurmountable living arrangement. The couple had no children from their marriage.
