Elon Musk Was Asked If He Could Get A Tattoo, What Would It Be? His Reply

Tesla CEO Elon Musk recently appeared on Nikhil Kamath's "People By WTF" podcast where he engaged in an insightful conversation covering various topics.

During the interview, the billionaire entrepreneur revealed what kind of tattoo he might get if he ever decides to get inked. Musk shared that he would "probably get my kids' names" tattooed, offering a rare glimpse into his personal preferences.

This revelation came following an interesting discussion about the Austrian School of Economics and the concept of delayed gratification, where Musk humorously referenced the famous marshmallow experiment.

In their conversation, Kamath brought up the Austrian School's perspective on marginal utility, noting, "Having one of something has value, having two of the same thing has lesser value and having ten of the same thing has no value."

Musk responded with a lighthearted analogy about marshmallows, stating, "Like ten marshmallows. One's plenty. You can have two marshmallows later or one marshmallow now. I'll have one marshmallow. I don't want two marshmallows. One marshmallow's enough."

Kamath then mentioned his own tattoo that says "Delayed gratification" before asking Musk what tattoo he would choose to get. This prompted Musk's answer about potentially tattooing his children's names.

The conversation then shifted to the topic of parenthood when Kamath disclosed that he doesn't have children. Musk encouraged the entrepreneur to consider starting a family, asserting, "You won't regret it."

When asked about the best aspect of having children, Musk provided a thoughtful response: "Well, I mean, you've got this little creature that loves you, and you love this little creature. And I do not know, you kind of see the world through their eyes as they grow up, and their conscious awareness increases."

He continued, "From a baby that has no idea what is going on, cannot survive by itself, cannot even walk around, cannot talk, to stop walking, then talking, and then having interesting thoughts. And but, yeah, I mean, I think we fundamentally have to have kids or go extinct, you know."

Elon Musk is currently a father to 14 children with five different partners over a span of more than two decades.
