Calicut University Accidentally Reuses Previous Year's Question Paper in MDC Psychology Exam

The repetition was identified after students and faculty members noted the similarities.

Officials confirmed on Thursday that a question paper for the Undergraduate Multi Disciplinary Course (MDC) examination at Calicut University was discovered to be identical to one used in a previous year's assessment.

University administrators acknowledged the situation and stated that it will be presented to the Board of Studies to determine whether a fresh examination should be conducted.

According to examination officials, the 'Art of Stress Management' exam for first-semester MDC Psychology, which took place on November 25, featured a repeated question paper.

The content was exactly the same as the previous year's paper, with only the year being different. This duplication came to light when students and instructors recognized and reported the repetition.

Officials noted that no formal complaints have been submitted thus far. They explained that instructors typically submit three sets of question papers, and one of these sets was inadvertently a duplicate of the previous year's examination.

The repetition went undetected during the verification process, they added.
