"What began as a routine morning transformed into one of my life's most frightening experiences. I underwent jaw and chin surgery, endured days of suffering, and experienced emotional distress. Even more disappointing is the complete absence of communication from Rapido despite submitting an insurance claim—coverage they assure both riders and passengers," she wrote in her post.

Gupta emphasized that her purpose in revealing this ordeal wasn't to elicit sympathy but rather to illuminate "the reality behind the scenes when you place your trust in an application and subsequently encounter problems."

Rapido's Response

Following Gupta's Instagram post, Rapido issued a statement expressing regret about the incident and asserting that her wellbeing was their primary concern. The company claimed they had delivered assistance, including support for medical requirements and insurance claims processing.

"Hi Sonjanaa, we sincerely regret the incident during your ride and understand the distress it may have caused. Your safety is our top priority, and we take this matter very seriously. However, Gupta contested this response in the comments section, stating that she had received no assistance in the 12 days following the accident. She urged the company to expedite her insurance claim process.
