A disturbing incident captured on CCTV footage in Gujarat's Rajkot has gone viral, showing a pet dog approaching a woman aggressively, followed by the dog owner slapping the victim instead of offering assistance.

The confrontation occurred on Tuesday at Surbhi Possible Flats located on Rolex Road in Rajkot's Kotharia area. The footage reveals the entire sequence of events that has since sparked outrage online.

NCMIndia Council For Men Affairs, an advocacy group promoting gender-neutral legislation, shared the video on X (formerly Twitter), tagging local police authorities and demanding they take appropriate action against those involved.

According to local media reports, the dog belonged to a woman identified as Payal Goswami. The footage shows the dog moving aggressively toward Kiran Vaghela, a resident who was waiting for the elevator. While reports remain unclear about whether an actual bite occurred, the victim appears visibly distressed.

The subsequent footage shows Vaghela apparently complaining to the man accompanying Goswami, who was handling the dog's leash. Rather than apologizing or showing concern, Goswami became confrontational and physically slapped Vaghela. This was followed by what appears to be a heated verbal exchange between the parties.

The incident has generated significant reaction on social media platforms. Many commenters expressed outrage, particularly regarding the owner's inappropriate response to the situation.
