Tej Pratap Yadav Ordered to Vacate Government Bungalow Amid Bihar Ministerial Housing Reshuffle

Former minister Tej Pratap Yadav has been ordered to vacate his government bungalow at 26 M Strand Road in Bihar, which has now been allocated to Minister Lakhendra Kumar Roshan. This comes amid a larger ministerial housing reshuffle under Chief Minister Nitish Kumar's government and follows Tej Pratap's recent political setbacks, including expulsion from RJD by his father Lalu Prasad Yadav and electoral defeat with his new party.

After Rabri Devi, Tej Pratap Yadav Asked To Vacate Bihar Bungalow

Tej Pratap Yadav has encountered multiple challenges in recent months according to official records.

Patna officials have initiated a major reorganization of government residences in Bihar, with the Building Construction Department directing former minister Tej Pratap Yadav to surrender his government-allocated bungalow located at 26 M Strand Road.

The property has been reassigned to Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes Welfare Minister Lakhendra Kumar Roshan as part of the administrative changes.

This directive coincides with another eviction notice issued for former Chief Minister Rabri Devi's residence at 10 Circular Road, intensifying questions about Tej Pratap's future arrangements, particularly as he is currently residing away from his mother's residence.

Tej Pratap Yadav, the eldest son of Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) president Lalu Prasad Yadav, has weathered numerous difficulties recently. His deteriorating relationship with RJD leadership became public knowledge following a controversy involving a personal photograph that circulated widely on social media platforms. Despite Tej Pratap claiming his account was compromised, Lalu Prasad expelled him from both the political party and family circle for a six-year period.

Following this family and political rupture, Tej Pratap established his own political organization, the Janshakti Janata Dal, and competed for the Mahua constituency in the Assembly elections. However, his newly formed party failed to win any seats, representing a significant electoral disappointment. The required surrender of his official residence now presents an additional obstacle in his political journey.

With the establishment of the new administration under Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, the Building Construction Department has distributed residences to 13 cabinet ministers. According to the recently issued directive, Industry Minister Dilip Kumar Jaiswal receives 2 Strand Road, Information Technology and Sports Minister Shreyasi Singh gets 4 Strand Road, Labour Resources Minister Sanjay Singh Tiger is assigned 41 Harding Road, and Tourism and Arts, Culture and Youth Minister Arun Shankar Prasad will occupy 25 Harding Road.

Agriculture Minister Ram Kripal Yadav has been allocated 43 Harding Road, Disaster Management Minister Narayan Prasad receives 12 Harding Road, Backward Class and Extremely Backward Class Welfare Minister Rama Nishad gets 3 Circular Road, Cooperative and Environment Minister Pramod Kumar is assigned 27 Harding Road, Sugarcane Industry Minister Sanjay Kumar will occupy 21 Harding Road, Public Health Engineering Minister Sanjay Kumar Singh receives 13 Harding Road, and Panchayati Raj Minister Deepak Prakash gets 24 M Strand Road.

The Building Construction Department has clarified that all previous housing allocation orders have been amended in accordance with this updated list, which has been officially endorsed by the appropriate authority.
