Chief Minister Mohan Yadav of Madhya Pradesh demonstrated firm disapproval regarding the delayed apprehension of the suspect in a six-year-old girl's rape case in Raisen by ordering the immediate dismissal of both the Raisen Superintendent of Police and the Misrod police station head late Tuesday night.

This decisive action followed an emergency conference held at 8:15 pm at Police Headquarters, where top officials including the Director General of Police, Additional Director General Intelligence, and the Bhopal Police Commissioner were present.

Reports indicate Chief Minister Yadav expressed profound discontent not solely with law enforcement's inability to capture the suspect who has evaded arrest for four days, but additionally with their perceived inadequate management of substantial public demonstrations and road blockages throughout the region.

The 23-year-old suspect, identified as Salman, remains fugitive four days after the November 21 incident. According to reports, he allegedly enticed the young girl, who was playing outside her residence, to a nearby wooded area by offering chocolate and subsequently fled after committing the assault.

The victim was located in a severely injured, blood-covered condition within the forest. Currently receiving treatment at AIIMS Bhopal, medical professionals report her condition is showing improvement. However, initial response efforts were hampered by negligence at the local medical facility where no ambulance was available for over an hour, compelling the family to transport the critically injured child to Bhopal via private vehicle, which intensified initial community outrage.

Public indignation has culminated in a sustained three-day demonstration outside Gauharganj police station, featuring continuous sit-ins by villagers, including women and girls, despite harsh cold conditions. This followed violent protests and massive highway blockades. Authorities initially employed moderate force to clear the highway, but protesters swiftly returned, necessitating deployment of personnel from five police stations.

Officials have increased the reward for information leading to the suspect's capture to Rs 30,000. Twenty specialized police teams comprising approximately 300 personnel have been deployed throughout the region as part of intensified search operations.
