Former Partner Murdered: Man Arrested for Killing Woman with Sickle After She Married Another

A tragic case of murder has been reported from Jungle Rasoolpur village where a 20-year-old woman was killed by her former partner. The accused, arrested on Tuesday, allegedly used a sickle to murder the victim who had married someone else in May. Police investigation revealed evidence of the crime through dog squad tracking and phone records, with the suspect confessing to the murder after hours of conversation with the victim.

Police have arrested a man on Tuesday for allegedly murdering his former partner with a sickle after she married someone else. The authorities reported that this tragic incident took place in Jungle Rasoolpur village on November 23.

The victim, 20-year-old Shivani, had returned to her maternal home to attend a cousin's wedding. She had gotten married in May, and her body was discovered in a bathroom at her family's house.

SP North Gyanendra Prasad stated, "Shivani's body showed deep lacerations on her neck and evidence of a struggle."

During their investigation, police uncovered a wedding video that captured the accused, Vinay, standing near Shivani during the 'Jaimala' ceremony, after which both individuals were seen leaving together.

The suspect, Vinay Nishad (also known as Deepak), resided approximately 500 meters from the victim's residence. His arrest came after a police dog squad repeatedly led investigators to his house, and phone records revealed conversations between the two on the night of the murder.

Authorities recovered the murder weapon, a sickle. When interrogated, Vinay admitted to the crime, stating that he "finally got rid of her" and revealed that he had conversed with her for hours before slitting her throat around 2 am.

Police have indicated that the investigation is continuing.
