New Delhi:

Umar Un Nabi, the doctor who detonated a car bomb in Delhi's Chandni Chowk resulting in 15 fatalities, possessed a secret 'mobile workstation' for constructing his terror devices, according to information shared with investigators by other suspects arrested from the Faridabad terror module.

Working at Al-Falah University in Faridabad, Umar Un Nabi conducted a small-scale test of the chemical compound later used in his improvised explosive device (IED) directly in his campus room, as revealed by arrested terror suspect Muzamil Shakeel during interrogation.

Muzamil Shakeel, also a doctor at Al-Falah University, was the initial recruit into this terror network by Jaish-e-Mohammed's primary contact, Maulvi Irfan Ahmed.

Sources indicate that Umar Un Nabi's 'mobile workstation' consisted of a large suitcase he carried everywhere, containing bomb-making materials including chemical compounds and storage containers.

The detained suspects informed investigators that Umar Un Nabi tested explosives and chemical reactions within his university accommodation. Police corroborated this information with the bomb-making components discovered in his suitcase.

According to investigators, Umar Un Nabi transported a partially assembled IED in the Hyundai i20 vehicle used in the suicide bombing. Sources reveal he incorporated acetone (nail polish remover) and powdered sugar in constructing the explosive device.

Initially, the terror cell had planned to transport hidden explosives from Haryana to Jammu and Kashmir, where Umar Un Nabi had intended to execute a significant operation, sources indicated. When this strategy failed, the suicide bomber began sourcing urea for IED production from the Nuh-Mewat area.

Muzamil Shakeel disclosed that Umar Un Nabi referred to himself as the "emir" of the terror group. Investigators reported that the bomber was proficient in nine languages and was considered the most educated and intellectually advanced member of the terror cell.

Muzamil Shakeel characterized the suicide bomber as someone who could have easily become a nuclear scientist.

"We couldn't resist him [Umar Un Nabi]. His words were full of facts and research. He always called himself emir and didn't talk much. Till the end he maintained that it was about religion and nothing else," Muzamil Shakeel told investigators.
