Hyderabad:

A chartered flight pilot is facing charges for allegedly sexually assaulting a 26-year-old cabin crew member at a hotel in Bengaluru, police announced on Sunday.

The incident reportedly occurred in Bengaluru on November 18, but the victim filed her complaint at Begumpet Police Station in Hyderabad. Authorities subsequently registered a 'Zero FIR' (an FIR that can be filed regardless of where the crime took place) under relevant sections of BNS.

A police official from Begumpet Police Station explained, "After returning to Hyderabad, the crew member reported the incident here. We registered a case and transferred it to Halasuru police station in Bengaluru, which is now handling the investigation."
