Abhishek Banerjee will evaluate TMC MPs and key leaders regarding their contributions during the Special Intensive Revision process.
Kolkata:
In the midst of ongoing political tensions between the ruling Trinamool Congress (TMC) and their main opposition, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), over West Bengal's Special Intensive Revision (SIR) exercise, TMC National General Secretary Abhishek Banerjee is scheduled to address more than 10,000 party leaders virtually on Monday.
The TMC leadership believes several districts need stronger representation while the SIR exercise continues. The party has emphasized a clear directive: ensure all legitimate voters are included, with TMC grassroots leaders taking responsibility for this mission.
Trinamool's Focus On Matua Community
Banerjee will particularly concentrate on North Bengal and especially the Matua community, whose voters have traditionally supported the BJP but are currently experiencing difficulties due to the SIR process. The TMC aims to penetrate the BJP stronghold in North Bengal, which requires gaining support from Matua voters.

Additionally, Banerjee will assess the performance of TMC MPs and key leaders regarding their contributions during the SIR. The party has established help desks at every polling booth.
He will also outline the party's strategic direction moving forward, as the Election Commission of India (ECI) is set to publish the first draft list of the SIR on December 9.
