Mumbai Influencer Orry Questioned in Rs 252 Crore Drug Trafficking Investigation: Complete Details Revealed

Orhan Awatramani, commonly known as Orry, a Mumbai-based socialite and internet personality, has been called in for questioning by the Mumbai Police Anti-Narcotics Cell regarding a significant drug trafficking case valued at Rs 252 crore.

The investigation centers around a major mephedrone manufacturing operation discovered in March 2024 at a farm in Maharashtra's Sangli district. Authorities seized approximately 126 kg of the substance, with an estimated value of Rs 252 crore. The case progressed substantially following the deportation and arrest of Mohammad Salim Mohammad Suhail Shaikh (also referred to as Salim Shaikh or Lavish) from Dubai in November 2025.

Shaikh, reportedly connected to fugitive drug lord Salim Dola (associated with the Dawood Ibrahim network) and his son Taher, allegedly utilized luxury vehicles for drug transportation and hawala channels for money laundering operations. During interrogation, Shaikh claimed to have organized exclusive rave parties for celebrities from film and fashion industries, politicians, and other public figures both in India and internationally.

Several high-profile individuals were mentioned by Shaikh, including Orry, actresses Nora Fatehi and Shraddha Kapoor, Shraddha's brother Siddhant Kapoor, filmmakers Abbas-Mustan, and politician Zeeshan Siddique. He also alleged that Alishah Parkar, a nephew of underworld figure Dawood Ibrahim, attended some of these gatherings.

The Mumbai Police have issued summons to the named individuals to verify these claims and investigate potential connections to the larger drug network. Orry has been called for questioning purposes, though no formal charges have been filed against him. He was requested to appear before the ANC's Ghatkopar unit to provide statements regarding possible links to the accused and share any relevant information about the case.

Not present in Mumbai at the time of the initial summons, Orry has requested a postponement until after November 25, which authorities are considering. This isn't his first legal entanglement; he was previously booked by Jammu and Kashmir Police in March 2024 for allegedly consuming alcohol in a restricted pilgrimage area.

Orry is the son of businessman Suraj K. Awatramani, whose business interests span real estate, hospitality, and beverage industries. Reportedly educated at Parsons School of Design in New York, Orry has worked in fashion, design, and branding sectors. He's become well-known for his bold fashion choices, luxurious lifestyle, and frequent appearances with Bollywood celebrities including Nysa Devgan, Janhvi Kapoor, and Sara Ali Khan.
