Tragic Murder-Suicide in Udaipur: Man Kills Son After Finding Wife Dead

A tragic incident unfolded in Rajasthan's Udaipur when a man allegedly killed his seven-year-old son and then died by suicide after discovering his wife dead at their residence, police reported on Thursday. Initial investigations suggest the woman had died by suicide.

The devastating event occurred on Wednesday in Masaro ki Ovari village within the Rishabhdev area. Police confirmed that a suicide note was recovered from the premises.

According to Deputy Superintendent of Police Rajeev Rahar, Sharda (27) was found deceased on the floor, while her husband Jagdish (30) and their young son Himanshu, also known as Hemu, were discovered hanging in separate rooms of the house.

"We are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding these deaths," the DSP stated.

Officials revealed that Jagdish was employed at a petrol pump, while Sharda had recently begun working at a private clinic.

Police reported that Jagdish's parents had visited a nearby village, and upon their return in the evening, they found the house locked from inside. With assistance from neighbors, they broke open the door and discovered the bodies inside.
