Delhi Couple's Dangerous Car Stunt Leads to Police Action and Public Outrage

A viral video capturing a couple engaged in hazardous stunts, including sharing a kiss on top of a moving vehicle near Delhi's Saket area, has prompted immediate police intervention. The footage displays a young man initially dangling from the car door before ascending to the roof where he was recorded kissing a female passenger while the vehicle continued moving along a crowded public roadway. This reckless exhibition generated significant online backlash, with numerous social media users calling for law enforcement to take action.

After the video circulated widely, Delhi Police successfully identified and penalized the individuals involved for their traffic violations. The authorities cleverly utilized social media to announce their enforcement measures, incorporating the trending "Dhappa" theme to highlight road safety importance and the repercussions of such dangerous behavior.

The perpetrators received charges under Disobeying Lawful Directions (179 MVA) and Driving Dangerously (184 MVA) provisions.

"Life is precious. In the above case, the accused has been penalised under Section 179 MVA and 184 MVA. Citizens are requested not to endanger their own and others' lives by violating traffic rules," the police statement emphasized.

The public response to the incident was overwhelmingly critical. One commenter remarked, "They are so called Alpha Men. Their father and grand father have earned so much money that they think they can purchase half of India."

Another observer pointed out, "Actually you are making them more famous by making such videos and that's all they want! Maybe don't make them famous but surely punish them."

A third user highlighted that the vehicle owner had accumulated multiple unpaid fines, including violations for overspeeding (Section 112/183, Motor Vehicles Act), improper parking (Section 122/177), willful disobedience (Section 179), and driving without seat belts or carrying unrestrained passengers (Section 194B(1)).

Law enforcement continues to urge citizens to avoid such dangerous stunts that endanger not only those performing them but also other road users and pedestrians in the vicinity.
