Ayodhya is preparing for a significant ceremony on November 25, which traditionally marks Lord Ram's wedding day in the sacred city.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath conducted a thorough review of preparations for this important event on Tuesday.

The ceremonial saffron flag, crafted from durable parachute fabric and silk threads, measures 22 feet by 11 feet. It will be installed on a 42-foot pole atop the 161-foot temple spire using a specialized 360-degree rotating mechanism.

Champat Rai, General Secretary of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, emphasized the significance of the date, stating, "November 25 marks the traditional sacred day of Lord Ram's wedding in Ayodhya. On this day, the flag hoisting ceremony will take place on the 'shikhar' of the Ram Janmabhoomi Temple."

Nripendra Misra, Chairman of the Ram Janmabhoomi Temple Construction Committee, provided further details: "With the temple construction now complete, 'Ram Parivar' is 'virajman' on the first floor. An arti of the 'Ram Parivar' will be performed when the Prime Minister hoists the 'dhwaj' atop the temple. The Nyas is organizing this program with Champat Rai as the in-charge, and approximately 6,000-8,000 guests have been invited."

The scale of the event is impressive, with around 60 chartered planes scheduled to land in Ayodhya on the ceremony day. Security arrangements include over 100 additional CISF personnel deployed at the airport. The Trust has secured 1,600 rooms in hotels and tent cities to accommodate the distinguished guests.

During his Tuesday visit to Ayodhya, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath inspected the venue and reviewed preparations. After offering prayers at the temple, he was briefed by Trust officials about construction progress and ceremonial arrangements.

According to a statement from the chief minister's office, "The flag hoisting at the summit will mark the complete finalization of the temple's main construction. Following this ceremony, the temple will be fully accessible to devotees. Currently, visitors can only access the sanctum sanctorum and first floor, but after the spire installation and flag hoisting, 'darshan' will be permitted throughout the entire temple complex."

Ayodhya Commissioner Rajesh Kumar detailed the preparations: "The chief minister is overseeing all arrangements, including the temple premises, helipad, and other areas where the Prime Minister and guests will be present. Multiple mock drills for the flag hoisting have been conducted to ensure flawless execution of this major event."

The ceremony will reach a wide audience through broadcasts on multiple channels and digital platforms. A massive 200-foot-wide LED screen will be installed at the Ram Janmabhoomi complex.

Additionally, over 30 large screens will be positioned throughout Ayodhya, allowing devotees across the city to witness this historic moment. The city is being beautifully adorned with saffron flags, floral decorations, and special lighting arrangements.

The chief minister's office highlighted the economic benefits of this ceremony, noting it will significantly enhance Ayodhya's tourism and cultural vibrancy. The increased influx of devotees is expected to boost the local economy, benefiting hotels, restaurants, travel agencies, security services, event management companies, and local vendors.
