New Delhi:

On Tuesday, a Delhi court ordered Jasir Bilal, described as an "active co-conspirator" of suicide bomber Umar un Nabi, to remain in NIA custody for 10 days in relation to the Red Fort car explosion that resulted in 15 fatalities.

Principal District and Sessions Judge Anju Bajaj Chandna granted the NIA's request for custodial interrogation of the accused.

Media representatives were prohibited from entering the court premises, effectively making the proceedings 'in camera'.

Extensive deployments of police and Rapid Action Force were positioned throughout the court premises. Numerous personnel in anti-riot equipment remained on standby.

A resident of Qazigund in Anantnag, Wani was apprehended in Srinagar on Monday for allegedly providing technical assistance in executing terrorist attacks by modifying drones and attempting to manufacture rockets prior to the bomb explosion, according to the agency's statement.

In a Monday statement, the NIA characterized Wani as an active co-conspirator behind the attack, who collaborated closely with the terrorist, Umar un Nabi, to orchestrate the "terror carnage." On the same day, the court placed Amir Rashid Ali, a primary suspect in the case, in NIA custody for 10 days.

The agency informed the court that Amir allegedly secured a safe house and delivered logistical support to Nabi.
