Shocking CCTV Footage: Man Brutally Attacked by Armed Gang in Thane, Maharashtra

Police investigations indicate this violent incident may stem from a prior conflict.

A violent assault took place in Ambernath, Thane district of Maharashtra, where eight individuals armed with sharp weapons including swords and a sickle attacked a man. The entire incident was captured on the CCTV system installed inside the shop where the attack occurred.

The victim, identified as Sudhir Omprakash Singh, had visited a nearby automobile repair garage to fix a damaged part of his vehicle. It was during this routine errand that the assailants allegedly surrounded Singh and launched their attack.

CCTV footage reveals Singh running into the workshop and attempting to defend himself with a metal piece. However, before he could effectively protect himself, five armed men entered the shop in succession and began assaulting him. One attacker grabbed a small stool from the floor and hurled it at Singh while others struck him repeatedly with swords and a sickle.

Singh retreated to a corner of the workshop before collapsing to the floor as the attackers continued their assault in turns.

After approximately ninety seconds of continuous violence, one of the assailants urged his accomplices to leave the premises. Before departing on motorcycles, the group damaged Singh's scooter.

The attack left Singh with serious injuries to his back, arms, and legs, necessitating his admission to Central Hospital in Ulhasnagar for treatment.

Authorities at Ambernath West Police Station have registered a case and intensified efforts to apprehend the group of attackers.
