In a tragic incident in Bihar's Vaishali district, a seven-year-old boy was reportedly murdered on Sunday, as confirmed by local police authorities.

The child's body was discovered in his room at a private hostel located near Gopalpur Chowk in Hajipur. Police have immediately launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the death.

"A forensic team has been deployed to thoroughly examine the crime scene, and we are currently analyzing footage from the hostel's CCTV cameras," stated SDPO (Sadar) Gopal Mandal.

As part of the ongoing investigation, authorities have taken the hostel controller and four other individuals into custody for questioning.

Following news of the incident, local residents expressed outrage by vandalizing the hostel premises.

Family members of the deceased boy have alleged that his throat was slit during the attack.

Police officials confirmed that the body has been sent for post-mortem examination, and further action will be determined based on statements provided by the boy's family.
