The Delhi government plans to launch 75 specialized drones displaying Prime Minister Narendra Modi's image at Tyagraj Stadium to celebrate his birthday, a government official announced on Monday.
"Students from the Indira Gandhi Institute of Technology in Delhi have created 75 specialized drones that will be flown from Tyagraj Stadium on September 17," the official stated.
According to the official, these drones will subsequently be transferred to the Delhi Police, with each district receiving five drones. Female police officers have received training to operate these drones during the birthday celebrations.
Among the 75 drones, 15 are advanced models developed by the department of technical and training education, the official added.
The Delhi government announced on Saturday that it would implement various initiatives under the 'Sewa Pakhwada' campaign to commemorate the Prime Minister's 75th birthday. Key projects include launching an Organ Transplant and Awareness Portal, introducing new inter-state bus services, optimizing transport routes, and adding 100 new buses to the fleet.
These initiatives form part of a comprehensive plan to implement 75 projects, schemes, and programs by the city government.
