Rajouri:
On Saturday, security forces successfully recovered an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) in Jammu and Kashmir's Rajouri district, subsequently destroying it through a controlled detonation, according to officials.
The controlled explosion, which occurred in Upper Bangai village of Thanamandi sub-division within the district, resulted in partial damage to a nearby house. Officials confirmed that no injuries were reported during the operation.
Officials stated that a security patrol initially detected the IED in proximity to the residence and immediately requested assistance from the bomb disposal squad, which determined that a controlled explosion was the safest course of action.
While the explosion caused some structural damage to the home owned by Mohammad Akbar, authorities had previously evacuated the family to ensure their safety, officials reported.
