"Congress Is MMC - Muslim League Maoist Congress": PM Modi After Bihar Win

New Delhi:

Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed his thoughts today following the National Democratic Alliance's (NDA) remarkable victory in Bihar's Assembly elections. The coalition secured over 200 seats in the 243-member Assembly, demonstrating strong support for Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and the BJP-led alliance, surpassing their previous record from 2010.

Addressing the historic win, PM Modi stated that the people of Bihar had broken all records. "This is a significant victory. Bihar ke logon ne garda uda diya," he remarked, praising the citizens for their overwhelming support.

The Prime Minister emphasized that the "Katta sarkaar" (referring to Mahagathbandhan) would never return, as Bihar had clearly voted for development. He reaffirmed that the NDA considers themselves servants of the people, committed to making citizens happy through dedicated work.

Modi highlighted that when he previously spoke about "Jungle Raj," the RJD didn't oppose his statement, but Congress did. He reiterated that the "katta government" would not return to power.

Expressing gratitude to the people of Bihar, the Prime Minister acknowledged that they had fulfilled his request for a massive NDA victory. He noted this was the largest mandate received by the alliance since 2010, and paid tribute to JP Narayan and Karpoori Thakur.

In his address, Modi pointed out that while some parties formed an appeasement formula of 'MY', this victory had cemented a new 'MY' combination of "Mahila and Youth." He also observed that areas once affected by Naxals, where voting was restricted until 3 PM, now saw people voting without fear.

The Prime Minister congratulated citizens for their faith in democracy and the Election Commission, noting the record voter turnout. He also praised NDA leaders for their excellent work and acknowledged CM Nitish Kumar's leadership.

Modi contrasted the current peaceful elections with the past "jungle raj" era when booth capturing and violence were commonplace. He described Bihar as the land that gave India its democratic honor, which had now defeated those who tried to harm democracy.

He dedicated the victory to Bihar's youth, whose future he claimed was previously damaged by Congress and leftist forces. Modi criticized Congress and RJD for not apologizing to "Chahti Maiyaa" and questioned how parties that called Chhath Puja a "drama" could respect Bihar's traditions.

The Prime Minister revealed that his government was working to have UNESCO recognize Chhath Puja's rich tradition. He also noted that Congress hadn't won as many MLAs in the last six state polls as the NDA had secured in just this election.

Modi accused Congress of criticizing the Election Commission, complaining about vote theft, and dividing people along religious and caste lines, stating they lacked a positive vision for the country. He referred to Congress as "MMC - Muslim League Maoist Congress" and predicted a significant division within the party, suggesting that RJD was stunned and that open conflict between RJD and Congress would soon emerge.

Looking toward the future, the Prime Minister promised that Bihar would progress significantly in the next five years, with new industries, increased employment opportunities for youth, greater investment, enhanced tourism, and development of pilgrimage sites.
