The BJP and the Congress secured 2 seats each in the Assembly by-elections.
The Assembly by-elections 2025 resulted in a balanced outcome, with both the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Congress winning two seats each. The by-elections were conducted across eight seats in seven states and the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir, coinciding with the second phase of Bihar Assembly elections on November 11.
The BJP claimed victories in Jammu and Kashmir and Odisha's Nuapada, while the Congress triumphed in Rajasthan's Anta and Telangana's Jubilee Hills. The People's Democratic Party secured the Budgam bypolls, Jharkhand Mukhti Morcha won the Ghatsila seat in Jharkhand, the Aam Aadmi Party achieved a comfortable victory in Punjab's Tarn Taran seat, and Mizo National Front captured the Dampa seat in Mizoram.

Meanwhile, the ruling BJP-led NDA is heading toward a landslide victory in Bihar. The NDA has exceeded the majority mark with 205 seats in the 243-member Assembly.
