The National Democratic Alliance (NDA) led by the Bharatiya Janata Party is heading toward a remarkable victory in Bihar, with official trends indicating the ruling alliance is leading in over 200 seats in the 243-member assembly.

According to BJP sources, Prime Minister Narendra Modi's GYAN strategy - focusing on Gareeb (poor), Yuva (youth), Annadata (farmers), and Naari (women) - played a crucial role in the NDA's historic win in the state.

This GYAN approach has created a significant shift in Bihar's political landscape, with voters, particularly women and youth, transcending caste considerations to support continued development initiatives, sources revealed.

The poor, youth, farmers, and women segments of the population voted decisively for the NDA, the sources added.

Voters also demonstrated confidence in Chief Minister Nitish Kumar's government schemes benefiting women, youth, and the extremely backward, backward, and underprivileged sections of Bihar society.

The alliance appears to have received substantial support in 160 constituencies dominated by backward and extremely backward communities, indicating broad-based backing across all social segments.

"This Bihar election has dismantled the dynastic politics of the RJD and Congress, which was entrenched in casteism. The NDA leadership has emerged as the most trusted face of social justice," sources stated.

"People have voted for the NDA to ensure uninterrupted development, expressing strong confidence in the PM Modi-Nitish partnership," they added.

The ruling NDA recently transferred Rs 10,000 into the accounts of over 1 crore women under its 'Mukhyamantri Mahila Rojgar Yojana' to help them start their own businesses.

In its election manifesto, the NDA promised jobs to one crore youth and aimed to create one crore 'Lakhpathi Didi'.

The alliance also pledged Rs 2,000 monthly assistance for SC/ST students pursuing higher education, free rations, free medical treatment up to Rs 5 lakh, and 50 lakh additional pucca houses.

Under the Chief Minister Women Employment Scheme, financial assistance up to Rs 2 lakh will be provided to women to promote prosperity and self-reliance, according to the 69-page manifesto.

The manifesto also outlined plans to increase financial assistance under the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi from Rs 6,000 to Rs 9,000 annually, enhance aid for fishermen from Rs 4,500 to Rs 9,000 annually, and provide minimum support prices for all crops.

The NDA, comprising the BJP, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar's JDU, Union Minister Chirag Paswan's Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas), Union Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi's Hindustani Awam Morcha, and Rajya Sabha MP Upendra Kushwaha's Rashtriya Lok Morcha, is currently ahead in 208 seats in the 243-member assembly.

The opposition Mahagathbandhan is leading in only 29 seats, with Tejashwi Yadav's Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) ahead in 25, Congress in two, and CPI(ML)(L) and CPM in one each.

Bihar voted in two phases - November 6 and November 11 - recording a voter turnout exceeding 66 percent, the highest in the state since 1951. Male voter turnout stood at 62.8 percent, while female voter participation reached an impressive 71.6 percent.
