3 Delhi Blast Terror Suspects Were In Touch With 2 Foreign Handlers: Sources

New Delhi:

Investigators have identified two foreign handlers in connection with the deadly Delhi blast incident, according to sources. These handlers reportedly maintained communication with the terrorist responsible for Monday's car explosion near Red Fort, as well as with his associates who were subsequently arrested for alleged connections to the Pakistan-based terrorist organization Jaish-e-Mohammad.

The November 10 explosion of a Hyundai i20 in slow-moving traffic resulted in at least 13 fatalities. DNA testing has confirmed that Dr. Umar Mohammad, also known as Dr. Umar un-Nabi, was driving the vehicle at the time of the explosion.

Sources indicate that Dr. Umar and his associates, Dr. Muzammil Shakeel and Dr. Shaheen Saeed, who are currently in police custody, were communicating with the foreign handlers.

The handlers have been identified by the code names Dr. Okasa and Dr. Hashim, also known as Arif Nisar. Intelligence agencies believe Nisar operated as the Pakistani handler, while Okasa served as the Turkish handler for the terror suspects. Sources suggest these two handlers might potentially be the same individual. Communication between the suspects and handlers reportedly occurred through various encrypted messaging platforms including Session, Telegram, and Signal.

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has taken charge of the blast investigation, with multiple agencies collaborating to examine various aspects related to this terrorist incident.
