Luxury Car Owner Caught on Camera Stealing Rs 8 Newspaper in Shivpuri: CCTV Reveals Bizarre Theft

In an unusual incident from Madhya Pradesh's Shivpuri, a man driving a vehicle valued at Rs 8 lakh was recorded stealing a newspaper worth merely Rs 8 from outside an attorney's office.

The theft occurred around 9.55 am on Wednesday at Maharana Pratap Colony on Mahal Road, while advocate Sanjeev Bilgaiya was engaged in a case discussion with a colleague inside his law chamber.

CCTV footage reveals a Dzire stopping outside the chamber. A man exits the vehicle, attempts to grab the newspaper by reaching through the railing gaps, failing initially. On his second attempt, he reaches further and successfully obtains the paper. He then returns calmly to his vehicle.

Advocate Bilgiya has submitted a formal complaint, and authorities have registered a case. Police are currently analyzing the footage and searching for the newspaper thief.

Regrettably, this isn't the first incident of such peculiar theft making headlines. In 2023, two individuals in Gurugram attracted attention when they arrived in a Rs 40-lakh vehicle to steal plants valued at Rs 400 that were placed as part of the G20 beautification initiative.
