In a dramatic incident in Uttar Pradesh, a man was captured on camera wielding a gun and threatening police officers in a tense standoff that lasted over two hours.

The individual was apprehended after approximately two and a half hours of confrontation.
Video footage showed the man brandishing a firearm at police personnel. Additional recordings captured him shirtless on the rooftop of his residence, again pointing his weapon at officers while making threats against Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. The entire situation reportedly stemmed from a property dispute with his uncle.
The man, identified as Sunit (also known as Gathua) from Nagla Hardayal village in Mathura district, appeared in a viral social media video threatening Chief Minister Adityanath's life while displaying the weapon.
Following his identification, authorities quickly arrived at his home, which triggered the standoff. Upon seeing law enforcement, Sunit climbed to his house's roof where he shouted and menacingly waved his pistol at officers for more than two hours. Despite numerous requests from police to descend, he remained defiant and discharged several rounds into the air. After all persuasion attempts failed, he was finally arrested following the lengthy confrontation.
According to reports, the individual has been involved in an ongoing land dispute with his uncle and had previously traveled to Lucknow to present his grievances to Yogi Adityanath at a public hearing.
SP Rural Suresh Chandra Rawat stated, "After the video of the man threatening to kill the Chief Minister went viral, he was identified and arrested. Sunil alias Gathua is a resident of Nagla Hardayal and is a drug addict. He said that he had been arrested."
The officer added, "He has been arrested with his pistol and is being interrogated."
