A tragic incident occurred on Friday evening when a vehicle carrying seven sadhus plunged into a well following a tire burst in Madhya Pradesh's Chhindwara district. The accident resulted in three fatalities, while three others were successfully rescued, according to local police.
One sadhu remains missing as search operations continue at the accident site near Tendni Khurd on Betul Road, approximately 60 kilometers from the district headquarters, confirmed Sanwari police outpost in-charge Mukesh Dwivedi.
"The accident happened when a tire burst caused the driver to lose control of the vehicle. The car struck a tree before falling into a well that had no protective boundary wall. Of the seven sadhus in the vehicle, three lost their lives, three were rescued and have been admitted to the district hospital, and one individual remains unaccounted for. We are currently using earth excavating equipment in our search efforts," he explained.
