Delhi Airport Receives Bomb Threat Days After Red Fort Blast. It Was A Hoax

Delhi's Indira Gandhi International Airport experienced a bomb threat scare on Wednesday afternoon that was subsequently determined to be false, according to a Delhi Fire Services official.

Following a call at approximately 3:18 PM claiming a bomb had been planted at Terminal-3, emergency protocols were immediately activated with three fire tenders being dispatched to the location.

"After conducting a comprehensive investigation and thorough security check, authorities confirmed the threat was indeed a hoax," the official stated.

This incident occurred just two days after a devastating explosion near the Red Fort Metro station on Monday evening. That blast, which tore through a slow-moving vehicle near Gate Number 1, resulted in 12 fatalities and multiple injuries.

In response to Monday's explosion, security measures across the national capital have been significantly enhanced. Law enforcement and security agencies throughout Delhi remain on high alert, continuing to respond to numerous false alarms and hoax calls received in the aftermath of the Red Fort blast.
