A 15-second video clip shows a crowded area near the Red Fort metro station, with numerous vehicles moving slowly. Suddenly, a massive fireball appears at the location, as the i20 car - now identified as the explosion source - devastates the area.

The blast happened hours after eight individuals, including three doctors, were arrested and 2,900 kg of explosives were seized following the discovery of a "white collar" terror network involving Jaish-e-Mohammed and Ansar Ghazwat-ul-Hind spanning across Kashmir, Haryana, and Uttar Pradesh.
Among Monday's arrests were Dr. Muzammil Ganaie and Dr. Shaheen Sayeed, both affiliated with Al Falah University in Faridabad, where authorities recovered 360 kg of ammonium nitrate.

Al Falah University at Dhouj, approximately 45 km from Delhi, is a private institution recognized by the University Grants Commission.
Dr. Umar Nabi, who was driving the car that exploded near the Red Fort, was also connected to Al Falah University. Nabi is believed to have perished in the explosion.
Ganaie and Umar reportedly surveyed the Red Fort area before the explosion. They had intended to target a crowded location during Diwali but failed to execute any activity. They were also planning an attack on Republic Day, according to sources.
Sources indicate that an unspecified amount of ANFO, an explosive compound containing ammonium nitrate and fuel oil, was loaded into the Hyundai i20. The bomb was activated by a detonator that may have been manually triggered, suggesting it was a suicide attack.
Sources revealed that high-grade explosives were also utilized in the blast. One explosive sample collected from the Delhi blast site is believed to be more powerful than ammonium nitrate.
Sources earlier mentioned that three individuals from Gurugram and one from Faridabad were taken by police for questioning regarding the car that exploded near the Red Fort.
The Delhi Police has been placed on high alert, with extensive checking operations being conducted throughout the city. Police personnel and paramilitary forces are heavily deployed at all entry and exit points of Delhi. Vehicles entering and leaving the city are being thoroughly inspected as part of the enhanced security measures, officials stated.
