Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar highlights the NCP's continued electoral success due to their focus on development and welfare policies. NCP "Never Misused Power Nor Acted Arrogantly": Ajit Pawar

Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar, who leads the ruling Nationalist Congress Party (NCP), stated on Tuesday that citizens continue to place their trust in his party because of its unwavering dedication to development and welfare-focused political approach.

"Our party has never abused power or displayed arrogance regarding our position. Power misuse is never sustainable. People elect us with substantial margins of eight lakh votes because we work diligently for their welfare. Our continued electoral success stems from the support of our constituents and party workers," Pawar remarked.

Pawar was addressing an event at Mumbai's Mahila Vikas Mandal Hall, where former BJP legislator Bhimrao Dhonde from the Ashti constituency formally joined the NCP alongside numerous supporters.

While welcoming Dhonde and other new members, Pawar assured that the party would provide complete support and respect to everyone joining with genuine intentions to serve the people.

"Politics alone cannot sustain us. It's essential to ensure that central and state government initiatives reach the underprivileged. Their satisfaction should be visibly evident," he emphasized.

Pawar issued a stern warning to party members against misconduct, stating, "I will fully support those engaged in positive work. However, if anyone engages in wrongdoing and expects protection, that won't be possible anymore. Tolerance has reached its limit, so don't anticipate otherwise." This statement comes after recent controversy surrounding a Rs 300-crore land transaction in Pune involving a company connected to his son Parth, which faced allegations of irregularities and prompted the state government to order an investigation and suspend a sub-registrar. Opposition leaders claimed the market value of the 40-acre land was actually Rs 1,800 crore.

Addressing the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, Pawar highlighted its role in emphasizing the healthcare sector's importance.

"The government has enhanced healthcare infrastructure and decided to establish medical colleges across every district. A new medical college worth Rs 1,000 crore has been constructed in Ambajogai, with additional colleges soon to be developed in Palghar, Jalna, and Washim," he noted, adding that a proposal for establishing a cancer hospital in Beed is currently under review.

Emphasizing technology's growing significance in agriculture, the Deputy Chief Minister encouraged farmers to embrace modern farming techniques.

"Artificial Intelligence has become such a transformative tool that it connects the world instantaneously. Farmers must now adopt new and more efficient cultivation methods," he concluded.
