Lucknow/Delhi:

Mohsin, an e-rickshaw driver from Uttar Pradesh's Meerut who relocated to Delhi two years ago with his wife Sultana and their two children, lost his life in Monday's car bomb explosion near Red Fort.

After his death, Mohsin's remains were transported back to his hometown, but a dispute erupted among family members regarding his burial location.

A somber crowd gathered outside Mohsin's Meerut residence as his body arrived. Family members and onlookers wept during this tragic moment.

While funeral preparations were underway, Sultana insisted that her husband be laid to rest in Delhi rather than Meerut. Despite efforts by Mohsin's family to persuade her, Sultana remained resolute, engaging in an argument with Mohsin's mother.

Neighbors also attempted to convince Sultana to hold the funeral in Meerut, where Mohsin had grown up, but she ultimately transported her husband's body back to Delhi.

The explosion near Red Fort occurred at 6:52 pm Monday when a Hyundai i20 detonated at a traffic stop near the Red Fort Metro Station.

The incident claimed nine lives and left 20 others injured. According to sources who spoke to NDTV, Dr. Umar Mohammad, the car's owner, reportedly triggered the explosion after investigators arrested two key module members - Dr. Mujammil Shakeel and Dr. Adil Rather - and confiscated explosives.

The explosion happened just hours after Jammu and Kashmir Police recovered nearly 3,000 kg of explosives from two residential buildings in Faridabad, Haryana.
