Bodies of 2 Girls Found In Well In Jharkhand, Probe Underway: Cops

On Friday, police reported discovering the bodies of two schoolgirls in a well located in Jharkhand's Giridih district.

The deceased were identified as Zahida Khatoon (13) and Gulabsha Praveen (14), both eighth-grade students attending the Upgraded High School Chiruwa-Kapilo, which falls under the jurisdiction of Saria police station.

According to Bagodar Sariya SDPO Dhananjay Ram, "The two girls arrived at school late on Thursday. Their teacher instructed them to go home and return accompanied by their guardians. After leaving the school premises, they were subsequently found deceased in a well." He further stated that while no formal complaint has yet been filed by the families, an investigation will be initiated once a complaint is received.
