New Delhi:
Approximately 50-60 kilograms of firecrackers were discovered in Haryana's Faridabad today. Initially, reports suggested that explosive materials had been found; however, police subsequently clarified that the materials were actually firecrackers and raw materials typically used for wedding celebrations.
Police emphasized that these materials have absolutely no connection to any terrorist activities.
"We strongly refute this misinformation and urge everyone not to spread false or misleading information," the police stated.
This discovery follows the recovery of 2,900 kg of suspected explosives in Haryana's Faridabad over recent days. The substance found during those raids is believed to be ammonium nitrate - commonly used in fertilizers but also potentially usable in bomb manufacturing.
Hours after Monday's recovery operation in Faridabad, which took place at a house rented by a doctor allegedly linked to a terror module with cross-border connections, a devastating explosion occurred at Delhi's Red Fort, resulting in nine fatalities and leaving 20 people injured.
