A white Hyundai i20 car exploded near Delhi's Red Fort, killing nine and injuring 20 in a suspected terror attack. CCTV footage shows the vehicle remained parked for over three hours before the blast. Authorities have invoked UAPA terrorism charges after connecting the incident to a "white collar" terror module and discovering 2,900 kg of explosives nearby in Haryana's Faridabad. The car's owner, Dr. Umar Mohammad from Kashmir's Pulwama, allegedly triggered the explosion after associates were arrested.

CCTV footage and images have surfaced showing the white Hyundai i20 vehicle that detonated near the Red Fort on Monday evening, resulting in nine fatalities and injuring 20 others. Sources indicate that the vehicle, bearing license plate HR 26CE7674, remained in the parking area adjacent to the fort for more than three hours, entering at 3:19 pm and departing around 6:30 pm.

A video clip approximately one minute in length displays the car entering the Badarpur border, with authorities now investigating this route, according to sources.

One image shows the vehicle entering the parking facility with the suspected suicide bomber's hand visible through the window.

The driver appears in another photograph wearing a blue and black t-shirt.

A third image captures the vehicle traveling on a busy thoroughfare in the national capital.

Sources revealed that the suspected suicide bomber never exited the vehicle during its time in the parking lot. They suggest he may have been waiting for someone or anticipating instructions while parked.

The explosion occurred at 6:52 pm near the Red Fort Metro Station, leaving mutilated bodies and damaged vehicles scattered throughout the busy area. Distressing images showed casualties on the ground and severed body parts. Shortly after the explosion, security personnel flooded the area, and ambulances transporting numerous injured individuals arrived at the nearby Lok Nayak Hospital (LNJP).

The incident is being investigated as a terrorist attack, with Delhi Police invoking UAPA (Unlawful Activities Prevention Act) sections after forensic evidence and intelligence information suggested possible terrorist connections. A high alert has been issued in Delhi and neighboring states - Mumbai, Kolkata, Bengaluru, Jaipur, Haryana, Punjab, Hyderabad, Uttar Pradesh, and Uttarakhand are all under heightened security. Bihar, which is scheduled to conduct its second and final round of voting today, is also on high alert.

The explosion happened on the same day authorities discovered 2,900 kg of explosives just 50 km from the capital in neighboring Haryana's Faridabad. Sources indicate a connection has emerged between the explosion and a "white collar" terror module, as the i20 vehicle was owned by a doctor from south Kashmir's Pulwama who was associated with this module.

Dr. Umar Mohammad, the vehicle's owner, reportedly panicked and triggered the explosion near Red Fort after investigators arrested two key members of the module - Dr. Mujammil Shakeel and Dr. Adil Rather - along with seizing the explosives, according to sources. Umar allegedly planned the attack with two additional associates and installed a detonator in the vehicle.

Sources added that ammonium nitrate, which was discovered in Faridabad, was utilized in the explosion.
