Chhattisgarh Murder: Wife Kills Husband and Conceals Body in Trolley Bag, Remains at Large

Police in Chhattisgarh's Jashpur district are searching for a woman who allegedly murdered her 43-year-old husband Santosh Bhagat and stuffed his body into a trolley bag. The crime was discovered after she confessed to her daughter over the phone. The suspect, who had recently returned from working in Mumbai, remains at large as authorities intensify their search efforts.

Woman On The Run After Killing Husband, Stuffing Body Into Trolley Bag

The police are actively searching for a woman who has fled after allegedly murdering her husband in Chhattisgarh's Jashpur district.

In a shocking development from Bhinjpur village under Duldula police station jurisdiction, authorities discovered that a 43-year-old man was killed and his body concealed in a trolley bag. The crime was revealed on Sunday when the perpetrator contacted her daughter and admitted to the homicide, according to Jashpur Senior Superintendent of Police Shashi Mohan Singh.

The SSP explained, "The suspect confessed to her daughter, a resident of Korba, that she had murdered her husband Santosh Bhagat, wrapped his body in a blanket, and placed it inside a trolley bag. Upon receiving this disturbing information, the daughter and her husband immediately traveled to Bhinjpur and notified Vinod Minj, the 45-year-old elder brother of the victim who subsequently filed the complaint."

Law enforcement officials confirmed that the accused woman remains at large, and they are intensifying efforts to apprehend her.

According to the police report, the deceased had three children, all married and residing outside their native village.

Singh further noted that Santosh's wife had been employed in Mumbai and had only returned to the village a few months prior to the incident.
