A woman in Vadodara, Gujarat caused an unexpected traffic disruption this week over a street food dispute that quickly escalated into a public demonstration.

The incident occurred near Sursagar Lake where the woman claimed she received only four golgappas instead of the six she believed she was entitled to for her payment of Rs 20.
Frustrated by what she perceived as unfair treatment, the woman took drastic action by sitting down in the middle of the road, creating an impromptu roadblock that forced vehicles to navigate around her.

The unusual protest quickly drew attention from passersby who began recording the standoff on their mobile phones. As crowds gathered, the woman remained steadfast in her position, refusing to move until her demand for "two more puris" was satisfied.
When local police arrived at the scene to address the traffic obstruction, the situation became even more dramatic. The woman reportedly broke down in tears, pleading with officers to intervene on her behalf and ensure she received the full quantity of panipuris she felt she deserved.
For several hours, normal traffic flow was disrupted while authorities attempted to resolve the dispute. Eventually, police officers escorted the woman away from the roadway, restoring traffic movement in the area.
Despite the resolution of the traffic situation, sources did not confirm whether the woman ultimately received the two additional golgappas she had so determinedly demanded.
While most urban traffic disruptions stem from processions, political events, or adverse weather conditions, this incident demonstrates how even seemingly minor consumer disputes can occasionally escalate into public demonstrations affecting city movement.
