A live bullet was discovered near Delhi's Red Fort explosion site where nine people were killed and 20 injured on Monday evening. National security agencies have rushed to investigate as authorities implement high alerts across multiple cities including Delhi-NCR, Uttar Pradesh, Mumbai, Jaipur, and Uttarakhand. Prime Minister Modi has been briefed on the situation while emergency responders contained the fire by 7:29 PM amid unprecedented security deployment in this popular tourist area.

Live Bullet Found On Ground Near Delhi Blast Site

Authorities discovered a live bullet in the vicinity of the explosion site.

Security forces located a live bullet on the ground near the explosion area where a blast occurred in a vehicle close to Delhi's historic Red Fort, resulting in nine fatalities, 20 injuries, and multiple vehicles catching fire on Monday evening. According to Delhi Police Commissioner Satish Golcha, the explosion happened in a slow-moving vehicle near the Red Fort traffic signal. He confirmed that "passengers were inside the vehicle" at the time of the incident.

Teams from the National Investigation Agency (NIA) and the National Security Guard (NSG) have immediately deployed to examine the explosion site.

Red Fort is located in a densely populated section of Old Delhi that attracts thousands of visitors daily.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has contacted Home Minister Amit Shah to receive situation updates. Amit Shah has also communicated with both the Delhi Police Commissioner and Intelligence Bureau chief Tapan Deka regarding the incident.

Following this explosion, authorities across Delhi-NCR, Uttar Pradesh, Mumbai, Jaipur, and Uttarakhand have implemented high-alert security measures.

Graphic footage from the scene revealed bodies on the ground, dismembered body parts, and severely damaged vehicles.

Deputy Chief Fire Officer AK Malik stated, "We responded immediately, and seven units were dispatched to the location. By 7:29 PM, the fire was successfully contained."

In the aftermath of the explosion, an unprecedented deployment of police and security personnel flooded the area, which typically experiences heavy tourist traffic throughout the year.
