Jharkhand Government Implements Major Reshuffle of IPS Officers

The Jharkhand government conducted a significant reorganization of its Indian Police Service (IPS) cadre, involving the transfer and new appointments of 30 officers, as detailed in an official notification.

According to the notification issued by the Home, Prison and Disaster Management Department on Thursday evening, Rakesh Ranjan, who previously served as Chaibasa Superintendent of Police (SP), has been appointed as the new Ranchi Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP). He replaces Chandan Kumar Sinha, who has been reassigned as the Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB).

Director General of Police (DGP) Anurag Gupta has been relieved of his additional responsibilities overseeing the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) and Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB).

Prashant Singh, Director General of the Wireless wing, has been given the additional responsibility of DG, Headquarters, while Priya Dubey, Additional Director General (ADG) of Jharkhand Armed Police (JAP), has been assigned to serve as ADG of the ACB.

Suman Gupta has been appointed as the ADG of Government Railway Police (GRP). Kranti Kumar Gadideshi, previously posted as Bokaro Inspector General (IG), has been transferred to the position of IG of the Human Rights wing. Officer Narendra Kumar Singh has been designated as the IG of the Vigilance and Security wing of the Jharkhand State Electricity Board.

Shailendra Sinha, who was serving as Dumka IG, has been reassigned as the IG of Palamu.

Sudarshan Mandal, formerly the CID IG, has been appointed as IG, Headquarters, and will additionally oversee responsibilities as IG Jail. Sunil Bhaskar has been named as the new Bokaro IG.

Mayur Kanhaiyalal Patel, who was positioned as IG Provision, has been given charge as Dumka IG.

Sanjeev Kumar, previously posted as CID DIG, has been appointed as DIG of the State Intelligence Bureau (SIB). Manoj Ratan has been designated as DIG Special Branch.

Ajit Peter Dungdung, who was Deoghar SP, will now serve as Joint Director of Jharkhand Police Academy in Hazaribag.

Arvind Kumar Singh has been assigned as SP Special Branch, while Ehtesham Waquarib has been appointed as CID SP. Amit Renu will take over as Chaibasa SP, and Saurabh has been named as Deoghar SP.

Deepak Kumar Pandey has been appointed as SP Special Branch, and Animesh Naithani as SP ACB. Ranchi City SP Ajit Kumar has been transferred to become Jamshedpur Rail SP.

Paras Rana has been designated as Ranchi City SP and given additional charge of JAP-10, while Rakesh Singh will serve as Traffic SP Ranchi and handle the additional responsibilities of Wireless SP.
