Tejashwi Yadav Slams Poll Body For Withholding Gender-Wise Data In Bihar

Bihar election results are anticipated to be announced on November 14.

Patna:

Tejashwi Yadav, RJD leader and INDIA bloc's chief ministerial candidate, criticized the Election Commission of India (ECI) on Monday for failing to release gender-specific voting data from the first phase of the Bihar assembly elections, despite four days passing since the polls.

During a press conference in Patna, Yadav asserted that the opposition coalition led by RJD would not permit any "vote theft or dishonesty" in the electoral process.

"The EC has yet to disclose gender-wise data of voters who participated in the November 6 polls, even after four days since the first phase of assembly elections. This is unprecedented. Previously, such information was provided immediately," he stated.

Yadav further alleged that the commission has "ceased functioning properly under Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah's leadership."

He issued a stern warning to officials against creating problems in collusion with the EC or Union Home Minister Amit Shah, threatening "dire consequences" for such actions.

"Under no circumstances will we allow vote theft or dishonesty," the RJD leader emphasized.

Yadav also pointed out that 208 companies of security personnel from BJP-governed states have been deployed in Bihar for election duties.

"Why have security personnel been brought in from BJP-ruled states? We are monitoring them closely. Approximately 68 percent of police observers come from BJP-ruled states. What explains this pattern?" he questioned.

"Outsiders, including Union Home Minister Amit Shah, are attempting to control Bihar, which the people of Bihar will resist," claimed the RJD leader, taking aim at the BJP's central leadership.

He criticized Prime Minister Narendra Modi for avoiding critical issues like unemployment and migration during his Bihar campaign rallies, instead engaging in "negative politics."

"The Prime Minister visited for campaign purposes but engaged solely in negative politics. I'm uncertain what kind of web series the PM is currently watching. During his Bihar campaign, the PM failed to address major issues such as unemployment and migration," Yadav alleged.

The RJD leader also claimed, "He remained silent about corruption allegations against Samrat Choudhary, Dr. Dilip Jaisawal, and Mangal Pandey. The PM shared platforms with individuals like Hulas Pandey, Anand Mohan, Sunil Pandey, and Manorma Devi. Are these honest politicians? In Patna, he met with Vipin Sharma, the primary accused in the multi-crore Srijan scam."

Expressing confidence in winning the Bihar elections, Yadav declared, "We will take oath on November 18."

The RJD leader promised that if the INDIA bloc wins the Bihar polls, there would be "no compromise on law and order," and they would "take action against criminals, communal forces, and corruption."
