New Delhi:
Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju strongly criticized Rahul Gandhi on Friday after the Congress MP repeated his 'vote chori' accusation from the previous day - "wake up at 4 am, delete two voters in 37 seconds, then go back to sleep" - directed at the Election Commission and Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar.
Mr. Rijiju asserted that Mr. Gandhi needed to acknowledge his "failed" leadership of Congress, which has resulted in numerous electoral defeats and driven India's youth to support Prime Minister Narendra Modi instead.
He further claimed that Rahul Gandhi had "abused" India's democratic system following Congress's string of electoral losses and declared, "The nation won't believe Rahul Gandhi..."
"The poor, the farmers, and the common people view PM Modi as their leader. If Rahul Gandhi continues blaming the system to conceal his shortcomings after electoral defeats, nobody will accept it. The country has transformed and progressed under PM Modi's leadership," he stated.
"People like Rahul Gandhi wish to halt the engine propelling India forward..."

Earlier today, Mr. Gandhi shared a 37-second excerpt from his PowerPoint presentation delivered Thursday, which he claimed contained "100 per cent bullet-proof evidence" supporting his allegations.
In the video clip, he highlighted how someone had opened, completed, and submitted forms to remove two names from the voter roll at 4 am on December 19, 2022, all within just 36 seconds.
"Wake up at 4 am, delete two voters in 36 seconds, then go back to sleep - that's how vote theft happened! The election watchdog stayed awake, watching the theft and protecting the thieves."
#VoteChoriFactory pic.twitter.com/pLSKAXH1Eu

On Thursday, Mr. Gandhi alleged that voters had been systematically removed from Karnataka's electoral rolls using fake log-ins and phone numbers registered outside the state, facilitated by a 'centralized software'. He cited a mass-deletion incident from Karnataka's Aland as evidence.
The Election Commission promptly responded, pointing out that it was the poll body itself that had filed a police complaint regarding those 6,018 deleted names, and that the Congress, not the BJP, had won the seat where the opposition claimed to have lost votes due to voter fraud.
Regarding the broader issue of voter name deletions, the EC categorically stated that this could not be done by members of the public and accused Mr. Gandhi of making "baseless" allegations.

The BJP also issued a harsh response; former Union Minister Anurag Thakur stated that Congress had lost 90 percent of elections under Rahul Gandhi's leadership. "His frustration grows daily. Making incorrect and baseless allegations has become a habit for Rahul Gandhi."
For some time now, Mr. Gandhi and other opposition leaders have been targeting the Election Commission and the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party, accusing them of 'collusion' to commit voter fraud in federal and state elections, including in Karnataka two years ago and in Maharashtra last year.
They have claimed similar practices are occurring in Bihar - which holds elections later this year - referring to the Election Commission's 'special intensive revision' of the electoral roll.

The Bihar SIR, however, received clearance from the Supreme Court, which merely directed the EC to include Aadhaar, a common government-issued ID, on the list of accepted documents.
